6-month contract initially with a view of going permanent

CAE Parc aviation are looking to appoint a Head of Ground Operations and Security in Brisbane for a charter airline.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new dynamic startup company as a Head of Ground Operations and Security in Brisbane.

Responsibilities:

• The person nominated in the AOC to oversee all Ground Handling, Operations and Security processes and procedures to support the flying activity scheduled under the AOC
• The content holder of the Ground Handling Manual and the Transport Security Plan and ensures full compliance with CASA and the Department of Transport guidelines.
• The person will support the scheduling and rostering process of the operation and assists the HOFO and CEO with all commercial requirements and requests for Ad Hoc charter flights.
• The HGOS will manage the scheduling- and rostering software used by the company and ensures a smooth implementation of the Departure Control Software currently being introduced

  Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a Head of Ground Operations with an airline and/or experience managing a Ground Handling operation is a requirement.
• Experience overseeing security and familiarity with Transport Security Plans is desired
• Knowledge of Departure Control Software and processes related to the departure and control of airline passengers is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and how they interact with airline flight scheduling, operations and sales functions is desirable
• Experience working in an Operations Control Centre and knowledge of scheduling and rostering processes is highly desirable
• Experience with auditing flight or ground operations of airlines is desired
• We are looking for a motivated self-starter that delivers on time and in full compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Must have or have held an ASIC Card
