Head of Business Control IT & Digital

SAS is strengthening business control and this offers a great opportunity for you to take part in developing our business function. Business Control within IT & Digital is a small, fast paced & innovative team working over the entire business to support and challenge the IT divisions within SAS. We are now looking for a new colleague that can help us accelerate our efforts, strengthen the competence within the team and help us driving the financial agenda within IT operations and digital development.

We are looking for a business controller who has the ability and drive to help SAS in its digitalization journey. The right candidate is a strong financial professional, with high integrity and a can-do attitude. We also look for someone who will drive and accelerate the digital transformation within business control. Key success factors for the role is sound stakeholder management, integrity towards your work and SAS, and a genuine interest in analytics and IT.

As Head of Business Control IT & Digital you will be responsible for the financial planning and steering of the business unit. You will work closely with IT management ensuring business development and improving results. An important part of the job is to follow-up on the effects of SAS’ digital transformation and ensure investments made in IT and new technology deliver business value. Your role means being a business partner, able to challenge plans and perspectives to optimize business benefits. Further, you are expected to take on a large responsibility in driving the continuous improvement of financial processes and your daily work.

You will report to the VP of Performance Management and you will be part of the CIO’s management team. You will be right in the center of SAS’ digitalization journey and will be given the task of impacting the organization from day one.

Main areas of responsibility:

* Driving the financial planning and steering within business unit

* Acting as a sparring partner to the CIO, driving the financial agenda within IT. Being supportive as well as challenging.

* Being active in KPI development and follow-up

* Managing financial consolidation, analysis and reporting for business unit

* Supporting and challenging the business plans of department managers

* Following up on financial effects of digitalization in all areas of the company

* Providing a transparent financial perspective for portfolio management

* Working closely with IT management with the aim of improving efficiency and results

* Last but not least: Driving improvements in internal processes and breaking new ground in data modelling, analytics and automation

Preferable experience and background:

* University degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent

* Financial planning, capital budgeting, auditing, analysis or business control

* Solid general business understanding (incl. accounting)

* Knowledge of IT management within a large organization (incl. system operations, architecture and development)

* Stakeholder management and cross functional leadership

* Project management or benefit realization tracking

* Data management - MS Excel (incl. VBA, and PowerPivot), databases and BI

* Graphical Presentation - PowerPoint and BI

* Quantitative analysis (e.g. statistics and similar)

* Working proficiency in English
