Specific Job Description [JP]

This role will sit in the wider IT team but focus on end to end hardware build and software setup. This will involve unpacking, registering and building the various laptops, workstations, desktops and workstation laptops. Once they have been built we need to install the bespoke software for each user. Appointments will then be made to switch out the hardware with the users existing hardware, transfer files and configure Office and Windows User Profiles. This role will also be responsible for disposing of the old hardware following the company process.

Required skills, qualifications and experience [JP]

Will require a technician to have experience with:
* Refresh or upgrading PC/Laptops (Must be Dell or HP equipment)
* Active Directory usage
* SCCM/packaging software experience
* Windows 7 or later setup and configuration experience (ideally Windows 10)
* End user interfacing – Excellent Soft Skills dealing with all levels of staff.
* Prior experience managing a roll-out team.
* Can multitask
* Organizational skills, and update a database to record equipment.
* They will be supervised and taught build process. (Expectation is to build multiple machines at same time.)
* Will require to meet Project schedule timeframe and report back progress on a weekly basis
* Will require punctuality

Desired skills, qualifications and experience [JP]

* Ability to provide support for other miscellaneous IT hardware.
* Knowledge of software/hardware encryption.
* Knowledge of VPN/Remote access systems.
This role has the potential to progress into a Permanent role, so a desire to potentially move into a Permanent position would be an advantage.
