Job Role:

Skyscanner is a leading global travel search site and app, a place where people are inspired to plan and book direct from millions of travel options at the best prices. We employ over 1000 staff across eleven offices globally, and, having reached market leader status, we were recently acquired by Chinese online travel company Ctrip in a deal valued at £1.4bn. While we remain operationally independent, our acquisition by Ctrip allows us to take the business to the next level of accelerated global growth. It’s a hugely exciting time for Skyscanner and the over 80m people who use us every month. We are unbiased and free, and our secret is in our unique proprietary technology that connects people directly to everything the travel industry has to offer.

We’re looking for an experienced email and push notification marketer to join our team and amplify our impact by improving current email and push products and developing new re-engagement channels for our markets in EMEA. You’ll be responsible for building email campaigns, driving forward our emailing and push strategy and working with our regional teams to develop market-specific approaches. You will continually experiment to optimise and improve results and assist in developing new email, push and other communication products for our travellers.

You will help shape and execute an omni-channel CRM strategy based on customer insights, data and traveller segmentation and bring the expertise and context of the region into the global mix. You will deliver high impact growth levers that will increase the retention rate and frequency.

Are you user-centric? Product focused and growth obsessed? Can you Identify innovative growth techniques, test and scale them for hyper-growth? If you have the ability to analyse data, interpret it and understand how to use this to drive your decisions then this could be the role for you.

Skyscanner operates in a Tribes and Squads model and we have created an operating culture where there is a high level of trust, autonomy and transparency. Our growth managers work in autonomous teams (squads), they create their own backlog and don’t have dependencies in order to deliver to their users. We are continually evolving an environment whereby engineering, growth, data science, and product live together and practices such as peer review and experimentation are the norm.

What you can expect as a growth manager

* A supportive, trusting and transparent working environment

* A place to look at things differently and challenge and offer solutions

* An opportunity to develop CRM strategies to retain more users

* The opportunity to actively drive change in a fast paced, thriving and growing, unique culture

* A place where you can relish in your passion and enthusiasm for the travel market.

* An environment of continuous improvement where you optimise for impact and velocity

* An experimentation driven culture

What we are looking for

* Previous job experience as CRM manager, Retention Growth Manager or an equivalent ideally within an internet or ecommerce business

* Proven experience of CRM or lifecycle marketing as well as segmentation frameworks. Experience of planning and building campaigns and programmes as well as executing complex testing programs to validate uplift (A/B, multivariate, etc.)

* Be data driven. Know your metrics and be on top of your markets’ performance. Deep dive into customer, campaign and channel data, identifying opportunities to target new customer segments to drive a desired behaviour and to inform and evolve the direction of the BAU strategy

* Know your tools. Proficiency in relevant techniques and tools especially marketing automation platforms like Braze, Leanplum, Urban Airship, Optimove, Kahuna, Salesforce or an equivalent. Big plus if you are proficient in analytics tools across the marketing stack, including Tableau, Mixpanel, Appflyer, Google Analytics. Even better if you have basic programming skills in the likes of SQL & Python to start taking this to the next level

* Be experimentation driven. Prove your ideas through testing and validate your hypothesis before scaling

* With hands-on experience in the development and implementation of growth levers in these channels: email, push notifications, web browser notifications, SMS, instant messaging platforms like Whatsapp and FB messenger
