Purpose
To process various kind of safety reports and intelligence collected from different channels and ensure that the data input into the centralized database is of high accuracy and reliability.
Key responsibilities and tasks
* Process incoming safety reports in the Group’s Safety Database (AQD), conduct initial acceptance and preliminary risk assessment under the supervision of GSS-Data.
* Submission of Mandatory Occurrence Reports to HKCAD in accordance with CAD382 requirements and GSORM procedures within 96 hours of the reported event occurring. This may entail working outside normal office hours as required to support the regulatory Mandatory Occurrence Reporting requirement.
* Provide application level administration and support of the Group’s Safety Database (AQD) which entails security profile management and system configuration management.
* Prepare follow-up correspondence following the submission of a safety report (Civil Aviation Authorities, ATC Units, aerodrome operators, etc) and submit as required.
* Conduct safety data analysis and assist with the preparation of the safety statistics for safety meetings.
* Manage the temporary staff assisting with safety report processing.
* Assist with the production and distribution of GSORM publications (e.g. Weekly Safety Summary).
* Undertake ad-hoc safety projects as directed by GSM-DM and GSS-D.
* Contribute to the development of the GSORM IntraCX website.
Qualifications / Experience
* Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in airline or related industry.
* Tertiary education qualifications.
* Knowledge in aviation Safety Management principles and practices.
* Demonstrated experience in safety data handling and processing.
* Sound knowledge in statistical analysis.
* Proven experience and skills in training delivery.
* Good knowledge / understanding of airline operation.
* Good knowledge in AQD.
* Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel for numerical analysis.
* Good command of written and spoken English.
