Group Compliance Auditor

Regional Express (Rex) is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 50 Saab 340 aircraft on some 1,500 weekly flights to 60 destinations throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.

Expressions of interest are sought for a suitably qualified and motivated person to become part of the Regional Express Human Factors Group (comprising of Safety, Compliance/QA & Security) in the role of Group Compliance Auditor.

This position is full-time based in Sydney. This position is primarily focused on the auditing of the Rex Group’s Part 42 Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO). Individuals with experience in aviation maintenance or the CAMO environment are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Responsibility
•Conducting internal audits of the Rex Group’s Part 42 Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Organisation and airports.
•Preparing checklists for use in both internal and external audits.
•Reviewing applicable legislative change/s and recommending changes to the audit checklists.
•Arranging and chairing audit entry/exit meetings.
•Leading and assisting in audits.
•Writing audit reports.
•Monitoring the receipt of and the following up of corrective action response/s within the timeframe identified in the Group Audit Manual.
•Investigating safety related events and reporting the results to the applicable Safety Management Group.
•Conducting external audits of sub-contractors to assess suitability of sub-contractors to perform contracted tasks for Rex where required.
•Conducting other tasks as directed by the Group Engineering Quality & Compliance Manager and the Group Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager.

Essential Selection Criteria
•Experience in an aviation maintenance or CAMO environment (highly desirable).
•Experience and/or qualifications as a Lead Auditor (desirable).
•Have the ability to research, interpret and assess compliance against a range of legislation, policies and company procedures.
•Well developed interpersonal skills with an ability to confidently engage and liaise with a range of subject matter experts from across various elements/functions of the organisation.
•Good level of both written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to facilitate the effective dissemination of information.
•Good level of analytical and report writing skills with a focus on providing well researched recommendations.
•Well developed IT skills (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
•Ability to work either independently or as part of a team in order to achieve a recognisable and measurable outcome.
•Possess an eye for detail.
