Job Role:
Ground Handling Agent opportunities at Stansted Airport, starting at £9.99 per hour, rising to £11.16 per hour after one year. This is an ongoing contract 24-hour shift pattern which includes nights.
Please note you must have a full driving license
Duties:
Load and unload aircraft luggage weighing up to 32 Kilos
Be able to work in confined spaces and from heights
Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all times
Monitor Customer safety during boarding/offloading of aircraft and assist customers where necessary
Marshall aircraft on the ramp (includes directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft)
Transfer of baggage
Observe safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checks
Comply with all safety procedures and Station Policies
Assist in ramp set-up and storage of equipment and baggage communicate with Operations, Flight Crew personnel and other ground personnel
Candidates Must:
Provide a full 5 year checkable history on registration
Provide a basic Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check (Cost of which to be met by candidate)
Have no criminal record, or any unspent convictions
Be willing to work all assigned shifts covering a 24 hour operation, including weekends and bank holidays
Be at least 18 years old
Be eligible to work in the UK
Hold a full UK/EU drivers licence
Have current and valid photo ID
Live within a commutable distance to Stansted Airport at the time of application
