Flight Planner BCN Norwegian

Job description

Reporting to the Head of Integrated Operations Control Centre (IOCC), The Flight Planner will be responsible for the planning and execution our fleet across our network and duties will include but not limited to:

• Calculate and issue OFPs for the Norwegian fleet, using LIDO flight planning system

• Ensure their accuracy and compliance with Company policies and Regulatory Authorities such as CAA, EASA and FAA

• Monitoring the operational environment through NOTAM’s and Aeronautical publications

• Use tactical information such as the Central Flow Management Unit (Eurocontrol) computer terminal, used to monitor slots, airspace and airfield restrictions in a real time environment

• Manage flight planning requirements in a timely manner in situation which arise from diversions, ATC delays, MEL restrictions and other abnormal operations

• Liaising with outstations to ensure schedule integrity is maintained

• Coordinating with crew for fuel/route and aircraft performance requirements

• Liaising with relevant departments to ensure all regulatory requirements are adhered to for the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft

Qualifications

• Experience as Flight Planner from an Airline Operations Control Centre

• Proven knowledge of ETOPS operation

• Proven knowledge of the complexity and regulations of airline operation

• Experience with flight planning applications and software, preferably LIDO

• Analytical skills related to aircraft performance

• Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office software

• Self-motivated, extremely flexible and willing to work unsociable hours

• Excellent communication skills and situational awareness

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet commercially critical deadlines

• Able to work independently and use initiative and good judgement

• Eligible to work in the EU and Fluent in English - written and spoken
