JOB PURPOSE

The Hawk T-165 TMIS Scheduler is an integral part of the KFAB O&AT training delivery team. During transition from T-65 to T-165, the TMIS Scheduler will liaise with the Squadron (Sqn) Scheduler to coordinate and write the daily schedule for the T-65 and produce the weekly schedule. During SD, the TMIS Scheduler will coordinate and write the daily schedule for the T-165, the weekly schedule and assist the Training Supervisor (with the monthly and semi-annual planning.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The TMIS Supervisor is the line manager for the TMIS Scheduler.
During Transition under the guidance of the Squadron Scheduler and the Operations Supervisor (Ops Sup), the TMIS Scheduler is to:

Use FlightPro to write the daily schedule
Schedule the daily programme following the guidelines of the weekly requirements whilst ensuring efficient use of all assets available.
Coordinate data requirements for scheduled events and eliminate conflicts.
De-conflict unique mission assets to best meet objectives to support day, night and ground operations.
Schedule airspace for flight operations and co-ordinate with the other users of airspace and minimise the length of day for base operations.
Assist in development, prioritisation and implementation of the weekly flying schedules. Coordinate changes with the Duty Officer (DO) in real-time operations.
Provide work direction to the TMIS Planners in real-time operations.
Co-ordinate with the SIM IPs and other users for SIM availability.
Performs other related duties as directed.

Under the guidance of the TMIS Supervisor and the Operations Supervisor (Ops Sup), the TMIS Scheduler is to carry out the tasks listed above in the transition Phase as well as co-ordinate with the TMIS Facilitators to ensure that IT hardware assets are available and in good working order for the daily schedule.

The job holder will co-ordinate with the TMIS Facilitators to ensure that correct software loads and LMS data is available for the daily schedule.

The job holder will co-ordinate with the Aircrew Training Device (ATD) team to confirm ATD availability as well as co-ordinate with the Mission Support System (MSS) team to confirm asset functionality and any limitations in briefing/de-briefing rooms.

Assisting in the development, prioritisation and implementation of the weekly, monthly and semi-annual flying schedules will be a recruitment specification of this role.

The job holder will be fully conversant with the current version of the FlightPro Data Dictionary.

Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their assigned position.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

The job holder must be educated to HNC level or recognised equivalent or have relevant experience supported by formal, recorded work place applied related training.

Essentially the candidate must have worked in a Flight Operations (Flt Ops) environment with direct exposure to flight planning and scheduling.

The job holder must be computer literate with Microsoft Office 2010 suite and must have the ability to communicate effectively as well as being fluent in English language, both written and spoken.

The job holder will be able to understand technical documentation unambiguously and have previous experience with FlightPro as well as a good understanding of RAF or RSAF Flight Training.

The candidate must be able to work under pressure to meet corporate requirements and policies.
