We are now looking for

Airbus / ATR / Embraer Fleet Engineers

to help us improve aircraft and component reliability, maintain continuing airworthiness and optimize maintenance costs. As Fleet Engineer, you will manage engineering projects related to the Airbus / ATR / Embraer fleet and develop engineering processes in your area of responsibility. You will get to work with over 80 top professionals within Finnair Engineering and, of course, with many internal and external stakeholders.

In addition to the ones already mentioned, your typical tasks will include:

  • Analyzing reliability data and aircraft diagnostics and managing actions to enhance reliability.
  • Creating scheduled maintenance tasks and revisions according to the Operator Maintenance Program based on data.
  • Supporting preventive maintenance actions based on aircraft diagnostics and creating guidelines for a defect specific company policy.
  • Developing new diagnostics tools and procedures for Airbus/ATR/Embraer aircrafts.
  • Preparing Cost Benefit Analyses based on information from various inputs and proposing modifications according to key findings.
  • Providing troubleshooting support to and resolving requests from production and formulating and submitting service requests to OEM’s and vendors when no approved data exists.
  • Vendor and supplier management, including monitoring performance and cost efficiency.

If you have previous experience in aviation or airlines, it will certainly be considered a plus, but we are open to applications from candidates with a background in process or industrial engineering as well.

The following are the criteria that we expect you to meet to be considered for the position:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar position
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from a technical field (other degrees accepted if combined with an additional 3 years of relevant work experience)
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance philosophy and principles.
  • Ability to make rational engineering decisions based on available data utilizing engineering insight and judgement.
