Financial Services Officer 6 month contract

Cathay Pacific Airways Australia is looking for a motivated and professional Financial Services Officer to support our Financial Services operation out of our Sydney Town office. This 6 month Full time contract role will assist in the day to day finance operations regarding agency sales and travel agent issues. The role also works very closely with the extensive travel agency network in Australia regarding the settlement and reconciliations of these revenues as well as being responsible for the accounting of all the travel agency related sales.

Key Responsibilities:

* Issue and investigate ADMs/ACMs on fare / refund errors and rejections

* Follow up agent queries and ensure all agent irregularities and defaults are fully investigated to ensure no monies are outstanding

* Updating and maintain PALMS database and BSPLink

* Access ALTEA for fare and tax checking/verification

* Accurate and timely recording of postings to the general ledger

* Collaborate with Sales teams to stay informed of agents financial status to minimise exposure and losses

* Identify any default payments and pursue credit collection

Requirements:

* At least 1 year’s experience in finance/accounting

* Knowledge of, or experience in the airline industry or travel industry

Competencies:

* Interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organisation and external parties

* Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

* Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills

* Be flexible and adaptable with constant change
