Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to work with the IT management team to support the delivery of its strategic plan. Reporting to the Head of Finance for IT & Security, this role will be key to ensuring the successful delivery of the financial strategy for IT and supporting the management team in delivery of performance improvements across the business. The role will be responsible for the financial and management reporting of all activities for the IT function.

Qualifications

* Suitably qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with proven commercial experience
* Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and leadership skills required, with proven effectiveness at working directly with senior leadership
* Ability to identify, communicate and deliver sound financial/business insights, challenge and advice
* Strong analytical, data analysis and financial modelling skills
* A problem solver with commercial acumen and strong technical accounting skills
* Committed to daa values

Responsibilities

* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the P&L statements by leading & co-ordinating the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Preparation and sign-off of monthly management reports & co-ordinate input from various operational departments
* Drive operating performance improvement within IT to reduce run costs to enable Transform & Growth activity
* Partner with IT leadership to develop and manage the optimum sourcing strategy to deliver financial efficiencies
* Lead the Financial Planning processes for IT in respect to preparation of budgets, quarterly expected and long-term forecasts
* Assist in the decision-making process of key strategic priorities and act as the Finance Lead in delivering various projects & initiatives to support the achievement of the business strategy
* Preparation of business cases and board papers for capital expenditure/other projects
* Proactively engage and challenge departmental leadership to achieve financial and business goals; work closely with them to meet financial goals and influence financially sound decision making
* Support the Head of Finance and act as designate as and when required
