We are currently searching for a Associate Business Analyst to join our team in Crawley, West Sussex .

Job Summary

Develops, interprets and implements financial budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis and other related financial activities to determine present and future financial performance.

Basic Qualifications

Key responsibilities:

* Production of monthly actuals / rolling forecast / budget / strategic plan

* Analysis of sales pipeline and key cost drivers

* Ensure alignment of accounting polices / US GAAP / revenue recognition

* Project accounting / review of major contracts

* Separate accounting / analysis of standalone acquisition

* Key balance sheet reconciliations (as part of month end)

* Pricing / support on large bids

* General business partnering / Ad-hoc support

Key customers / liaison points:

* FP&A local business unit leads

* FP&A / Accounting Corporate head office (U.S)

* Business unit operations – local/global

* Business unit sales – local / global

Key experience / qualification requirements:

* Proven experience in either accounting / financial analysis role in mid – large size international company(s).

* Commercial acumen and ability to understand financial impact of operational decisions / actions

* Part qualified / finalist and committed to qualifying (CIMA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent)

* Project accounting and US GAAP experience preferred

* Industry sector experience not essential but B2B and large contract exposure useful

Other:

* The role gives a good opportunity to get exposure to working for a large U.S listed business (US GAAP, SOX, FX, etc).

* The company will support financially to complete accounting qualifications

* There’s opportunities to develop within the IMS division EMEA finance team, as well as wider Rockwell Collins in the UK and globally

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree previous related experience
