About Your Role
Our current Financial Accountant has been seconded to a high-profile internal project which has
provided an exciting 12 month contract opportunity within our business! Working as part of a large
finance team, communicating across the business with key stakeholders and based at the airport in a
busy operational environment, this position is primarily accountable for ensuring the delivery of quality
financial accounting and reporting.
Responsibilities include: Performing accounting and month-end processes including reconciliations and preparing
work-papers for audit Preparing monthly journals, ensuring the accuracy of monthly costing accruals, testing
assumptions to drive accurate reporting Preparing financials including monthly Board pack, half year, full year and statutory reporting
including conducting variance analysis and providing insightful commentary based on
information gathered from business owners Providing support and assistance to business units regarding accounting systems, proactively
seeking and implementing improvements to accounting systems and processes Providing accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues, expenses and
general ledger postings in areas of responsibility and assisting with benchmarking/analysis
and financial reporting to assist the business with commercial decision making Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation schedule
What You Will Bring You will hold a tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce or similar and will ideally be CPA
or CA qualified/ part-qualified You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an accounting role in a large
business You will have experience using SUN accounting software, or similar (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and
advanced MS Excel skills including the ability to manipulate large volumes of data using pivot
tables and lookups You will be commercially astute and decisive with strong numerical ability, an eye for detail
and excellent problem solving skills You will possess well-developed written and verbal communication skills with experience
managing multiple stakeholders
