POSITION SUMMARY Flexjet is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a FBO General Manager of our White Plains, NY Facility! This position will be responsible for the safety, productivity, service levels and overall operational efficiency of all facility staff. These responsibilities will also include oversight of the Owner Experience Representative and Line Service Technicians with emphasis on the collaboration and coordination of both departments. The General Manager will establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all clientele and crew members while promoting a harmonious working environment for subordinate employees. Furthermore, the General Manager will be the point contact in charge of the facility.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure world-class service is provided during every interaction with our clientele to develop and maintain long term relationships
Ensure site operations are conducted in accordance with Flexjet, local, state, and federal requirements
Directly manage all Line Service Technicians and Owner Experience Representatives
Work closely with operations/internal departments to resolve conflicts and serve as an owner advocate when appropriate
Ensure a pleasant and clean work environment and guest waiting areas
Facilitate the recruitment and training and development of Line Service Technicians and Owner Experience Representatives
Ensure that all employees are properly trained with appropriate documentation to evidence such training as recommended in NATA’s “Safety First” procedures
Conduct regular performance reviews of direct reports, while counseling, motivating and disciplining them as appropriate
Provide adequate resources and inventory for departments and personnel to maintain safe and efficient operations, while providing a high level of customer service
Organize regular departmental meetings and design other communication flows between staff and management
Periodically inspect training records and site internal quality assurance inspections to ensure proper completion
Coordinate ongoing facility maintenance and improvement initiatives
Enforce good housekeeping practices and uniform standards
·Initiate emergency and incident response procedures as required
Ensure proper maintenance of FAA required Quality Control procedures and associated record keeping as relating to ATA 103 Standards and recommended procedures
Overall coordination of equipment maintenance including reliability, safety items and general cost control and make capital expenditure recommendations for equipment
Actively participate in fiscal aspects of operation by monitoring ongoing expenses
Enforce all Safety and Company policies and procedures. Write and issue new policies, Director of Human Resource’s approval, as may be needed
Communicate, on a timely basis, any and all operational needs, problems, issues and opportunities
Function as a Line Service Technician or Customer Service Representative when needed
Foster a work culture based on Flexjet values, with an emphasis on safety
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Aviation, Aviation Flight, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience
At least ten (10) years of progressive experience in FBO Management, the airline industry or the equivalent in an aviation related field with demonstrated ramp operations and management capability
Current NATA Certification desired
Aptitude in supervising and developing staff
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
Knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and the Flexjet service philosophy
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills are necessary to perform job at the expected level
Must have a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Successful candidate must be able to respond calmly and handle many customer demands in a fast paced environment
Ability to lead a team in order to effectively anticipate clientele or crew member needs or to resolve problems quickly
Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business
Must maintain a valid state driver’s license
SCHEDULE
Successful candidate will need a flexible schedule as dictated by aircraft schedules
