Job Summary

As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering the maintenance and compliance of all equipment and facilities within the unit as well as acting as the key liaison with external contractors and regulatory agencies.

Leading and supporting the maintenance team, you will ensure adequate processes and training are in place to protect the workforce and periodic appraisals are carried out. You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the sites capital business plan, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement in services, products and systems to secure maximum efficiencies.

Developing and managing the maintenance services budgets, you will also liaise with contractors establishing and maintaining service contracts. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to all statutory regulations including Health & Safety regulations. You will be responsible for providing the senior management team with reports / recommendations related to capital expenditure to replace or upgrade equipment

Managing maintenance and project priorities and scheduling of workloads for subcontractors, you will report on works carried out and performance of in-house and external contractors while establishing and maintaining a works order process for transparency of jobs and volumes to enable feedback to the management teams on progress of work. You will be expected to drive forward and promote continuous improvement and a desire for world class performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

*

Educated to a degree level; Engineering degree / diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical would be an advantage

Work Experience:

*

Experience in Facilities Management Ideally from similar back ground (Food or FMCG).

*

Knowledge / experience in Hard and Soft Facility management, Line management, Continuous improvement, including TPM, 5S

*

Project management and Budget management experience

Technical / Other Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

*

Good understanding of statutory regulations and an understanding of how the legislation is enforced; Knowledge of HVAC, HV, LV, etc.

*

Computer Literate.

*

Ability to manage workload effectively, organized with attention to detail and meet deadlines.

*

The ability to multi-task and work under own initiative and as part of a team environment

*

Full UK Driving License is preferred

*

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to deal with internal teams and external suppliers/customers at all levels.
