Experienced Vehicle Painters
Airflite is seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced Vehicle Painters.
Based at Airflite’s Perth Airport facility, and also at RAAF Pearce in Bullsbrook, WA, the successful applicant will be required to paint and surface finish a variety of aircraft and aircraft components to designated aviation specifications.
The role of an Aircraft Painter with Airflite will involve:
* Paint stripping and painting of metallic and composite aircraft surfaces
* Application of corrosion prevention processes
* Preparation and use of aircraft support equipment
* Identification and ordering of paint equipment and materials
* Maintenance of spray painting equipment
* Amendment and maintenance of technical publications
* Stencilling and application of tapes and decals
The successful application must have:
* Vehicle painting experience with a high emphasis on Aircraft painting experience
* Experience in painting carbon fibre and fibreglass
* Experienced in using different types of body filler: synthetic, metal base (Devcon)
* Fibre glass reshape, modify and repair.
* Experience in the application of solid colour, Metallic, Pearlescent, matte finishes, and candy pearls.
* Application of anticorrosion treatment
* Able to work under the highest level of quality control.
* Can provide evidence of prestigious and quality workmanship
* Experienced in the application of paint protection
* Be able to use and understand Electromagnetic dry film thickness gauge, wet film thickness gauge, 3M Sun gun colour matching light, Viscosity cups and spectrophotometers
* Have EVP ticket
* AQF Cert III or higher are desirable.
The successful applicant must be able to work and contribute to a highly motivated team and be flexible in the ability to work different shift patterns
