Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to fill the role of Environmental Specialist who will report into the Environmental Manager. The purpose of this role will be to assist the Environmental Lead with all aspects of the upcoming Noise Determination and Planning application process for North Runway. This is a two-year contract and will be appointed on a personal contract basis. This is a non-shift role.
Qualifications
* A postgraduate degree in environmental science or related discipline;
* A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in environmental consultancy/public sector;
* Full membership to a relevant professional body;
* Experience in the areas of project management of Environmental Impact Assessment;
* Experience with technical environmental aspects
* Detailed knowledge of environmental and planning legislation;
* Excellent report writing and communication skills;
* Ability to interpret environmental reports and data;
* A full clean driver’s licence.

Responsibilities
* Collations of all appropriate operational, planning and environmental inputs for the application process commencing in Q1 2019
* Managing interactions with planning and environmental consultants for consenting process and ensuring on time, on budget delivery of output
* Assist Environmental Lead in engagement with external regulatory stakeholders to ensure delivery of all appropriate Documentation.
* Coordination with internal Dublin Airport departments to ensure consistency across data sets and environmental information for the project
* Manage interfaces with Dublin airport to ensure all environmental and planning aspects are effectively managed and communicated internally
* Organisation and management of sub-consultants for the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR), noise assessments and other environmental reports
* Data and information collection and collation for input into EIAR and other environmental reports;
* Coordination with external regulatory bodies on all project related environmental aspects
* Assist with oversight of contractor construction environmental management plans
