Overview:

Triumph Group Inc. is a leader in the design, development, manufacture, repair, sales, and life cycle support of aircraft control and actuation systems and structures. The Windsor facility’s main function is to design, develop, test and manufacture a wide array of aerospace products. Specifically those products involving precision machining, hydro-mechanical actuation systems, structural landing gear systems and components as well as mechanical actuation systems used throughout military and commercial industries.

Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state environmental safety and health (ES&H) regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Trains employees on ESH policies and procedures, and any regulatory requirements. Serves as a resource to the Company in areas of ES&H compliance. Provide leadership to maintain high standards of ES&H performance.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and provide subject specific ES&H related training as required by legislation or Company procedures, and identified for the promotion of high standards of ES&H management at the site. Maintains working knowledge of new developments in the industry and government regulations.
* Operates and controls WWTP operations in compliance with Company discharge permits.
* Participates in OSHA inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures.
* Maintain documentation of material, processes, equipment, and events used to measure performance, generate regulatory reports, and analyze trends. Track and report performance measures, compile and submit regulatory information to ensure compliance with environmental permit conditions and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate and conduct special Environmental Safety & Health audits and inspections of premises and operations in conjunction with others to monitor ES&H performance.
* Maintains monitoring instrumentation and equipment and order ES&H equipment and supplies as required.
* Active member of the Safety Committee.
* Responsible for daily waste management practices (including recyclables) and assist with waste minimization efforts. Train employees on proper handling of hazardous wastes and proper disposal of recyclable materials.
* Acts as an emergency coordinator. Coordinate teams, assess source and conditions, and report on chemical or process spills while ensuring proper cleanup.

* 2-4 years experience in the manufacturing industry, aerospace a plus
* Bachelor’s technical degree a plus
* Experience with OSHA and EPA guidelines
* Experience leading and training OSHA and EPA seminars
* Professionalism in dealing with adverse or difficult situations
* Strong project management skills
