Job Summary

Responsible to ensure, at a minimum, company compliance with existing, new and emerging federal, state and international environmental and safety and health regulation. This requires the knowledge and technical expertise to develop and deploy environmental and safety and health policies, systems, programs and processes. The scope of a position may be site specific, regional across multiple sites or Enterprise wide.

Job Responsibilities

* Basic technical knowledge of ES&H processes and procedures. Applies these processes and implements improvements to established procedures.

* Basic application of methods and techniques for hazard identification, hazard evaluation, risk assessment and control.

* Conducts regulatory review and impacts analysis of moderate scope and complexity. Initiates process changes as needed.

* Conducts full site inspections and participates in compliance audits.

* Collects and manages data and maintains data records. Compiles and prepares reports and permit applications; analyzes for trends.

* Contributes to ES&H teams and committees.

* Develops and manages a local annual training plan including documentation and recordkeeping based on an assessment of requirements. Contributes to training program development and conducts ES&H training events.

* Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.

* Assists with written and spoken internal and external communication. May help prepare reports, respond to surveys, develop and maintain documents, and contribute to teamspace or website content.

* Participate in process and information management mapping. Assists in the design and development of simple applications and tools. Helps investigate and resolve problems with process, tools and applications.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience
