You will be part of the new Global 7500/8000 product development team. You will be working in a very dynamic integrated product development team (IPDT) involving all technical and production functions, where you will drive to put forward optimal solutions for aircraft structures, systems installation, and completions suitable for latest manufacturing technologies and processes. You will work on integration and installation of communication, entertainment, lighting, Shop/ Manufacturing Easement and other miscellaneous systems. You will work on integration and design of mechanical system

(ECS, Oxygen, Water/Waste), Shop/Manufacturing Easement and other miscellaneous systems.

In your role, you will:

- Act as a specialist for the above systems.

- Define technical specifications, mechanical/electrical interfaces, design, integrate, certify, test and troubleshoot the above described systems.

- Create 3D models of detail parts and installations.

- Update models to incorporate changes.

- Establish concepts answering requirements from all participants.

- Organize and attend design reviews taking into consideration industry regulations, Bombardier Aerospace Design Practices and requirements.

- Be in direct contact with suppliers and be responsible for the delivery of quality engineering documentation that meets Bombardier Standards.

- Research, design and evaluate new technical concepts or emerging technologies. (Trade Shows, Air Shows, technical exhibitions, etc).

- Procure parts and supply instructions drawings to employees to build mock-ups/prototype.

- Provide definition engineering in relation with new designs.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have a college or University mechanical or aerospace engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant experience and technical advisor experience would be an asset.

- You have relevant technical experience in interior completion on Global Platform and knowledge of certification requirements for aircraft systems and interiors.

- You have design experience of aircraft structures and/or systems installation with CATIA V5

- You have the understanding of product structure and relational modelling

- You have experience in working with Enovia / Enovia PLM

- You have the ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.

- You are well organized and are project oriented

- You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.

- You have good communication skills including good English writing skills, and good English and French verbal skills.

- You also demonstrate an excellent track record of meeting your commitments with success.

- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
