Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for resolution of service issues requiring Engineering Design. Provide engineering for the creation of Service and Technical Publications.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Perform the necessary research and design changes to resolve service issues including determining Root Cause and Corrective Action, perform reliability analysis, and forensic analysis as necessary.
* Perform CAD based research, design and analysis as required.
* Prepare and issue engineering service kits for modification for service aircraft.
* Work with all design disciplines on their service issues.
* Perform drawing maintenance.
* Approve engineering dispositions for production MRBs against service assemblies.
* Assist FAA/ODA office in research for documents and design data required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
* Perform other related duties as required.

Required Experience

Requires a Bachelors’ Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering, and three to six years general aviation experience in an engineering environment. General knowledge of all phases of aircraft design, testing, FAA Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) approval, manufacturing, inspection and service; materials and material strengths, all manufacturing processes and techniques relative to fabrication and assembly; and working knowledge of Uni-graphics CAD are required to perform the duties of this position.
