Overview:

Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. • Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement • Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore, candidates are required to prove identity as a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R.120.15. • Technical Engineering degree • Ten or more years of engineering experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured parts. • Inspection experience required • FAA Experience required with specific experience completing FAA Form 8130-9 and/or FAA Form 8130-3. • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and contracts to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods with ability to translate into work instruction and develop performance metrics • Demonstrated knowledge of audit techniques • Strong understanding of the use of analysis tools • Experience in disposition of non-conforming products • Strong computer skills including ERP systems such as SAP as well as model based software such as Catia V5 • Effective interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, written and technical writing, listening, team building and collaboration Preferred
