ITC Global requires a Regional Finance Controller (EMEA) to join their team in Aberdeen, Scotland.
 
This position is specifically working for ITC Global, fully owned subsidiary company of Panasonic.
Responsible for controllership of EMEA region’s company financial statements and direct supervision of all accounting functions. Primary responsibilities include supervision of the monthly close process across all subsidiary companies as well as supervising all financial statements such as P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement. 
 
The Regional Controller (EMEA) will also be part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and managerial accounting system more efficient and accurate.
 
Your Key duties will include:
 
Controllership & Accounting

  • Ensure proper accounting and the accurate compilation of financial statements including all EMEA subsidiaries.
  • Direct and oversee revenue recognition activities including reviewing of contracts/agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition.
  • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
  • Proper analytical review of the asset operations from a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow and overall business perspective
  • Lead collaboration efforts within the respective departments for sound financials and healthy balance sheet.
  • Manage and improve cash flow and maximize cash efficiency.
  • Oversee tax calculation done by outside tax accounting firm.
  • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls including J-SOX compliance for all EMEA subsidiary companies.
  • Guide the business on accounting impact of various deal structures contemplated.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations are followed.

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Decision support for EMEA region, business units and financial management.
  • Budgeting and forecasting of business units financials.
  • Deliver financial analysis to CFO and Executive Team for their decision making.
  • Oversee and support RFP/Bid process in terms of P&L (pricing and costing) review.

 
Reporting

  • Review monthly results for EMEA subsidiary companies to CFO and Corporate Controller.
  • Oversee the statutory and tax filing for EMEA subsidiary companies to secure filing deadline in each countries.

 
Supervisory & Manage Department, Others

  • Select, hire, train, supervise develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient and accurate operation of accounting function.
  • Set direction, objectives and targets for managers and staff.
  • Support HR-related administration including payroll processing

 
Your skills/ qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred
  • Active CPA credentials required
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in related environment with strong theoretical background in accounting and finance areas, and minimum 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role
  • Ability to solve very complex issues and understand accounting treatment in accordance to GAAP and IFRS and corporate accounting policy to properly communicate financials and tax implications to executive team
  • Credibility, ethical, full disclosure and clean financial history
  • Knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as Great Plains, ABAS and Sage
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligent Tools such as Oracle Hyperion and Cognos TM1
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationship with individuals at various levels and diverse backgrounds within internal company departments and outside vendors
  • Ability to organize and implement department objectives
  • Ability to plan, assign, train, and direct employees
  • Ability to interview, hire, and appraise employees
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives
