In your role, you will:

- Be responsible at the aircraft and system level for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI)/High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF)/Lightning Strike/ Electrostatic Discharge technical requirements.
- Have knowledge of relevant industry standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE ARP) and high level of familiarity with airworthiness (TCCA, FAA, EASA) Regulations and Advisory Materials pertaining to EMI, HIRF, Lightning and Electrostatic Discharge.
- Execute intermediate to complex engineering assignments related to EMI, HIRF, Lightning and Electrostatic Discharge requirements.
- Execute EMI, HIRF, Lightning and Electrostatic Discharge tests in laboratories and on aircraft against pre-defined criteria.
- Generate detail analyses, technical specifications, test requirements and certification data to ensure that the aircraft, its systems and occupants are protected against EMI, HIRF, Lightning and Electrostatic Discharge.
- Review and comment on technical documents, including Supplier qualification procedures and reports.
- Plan and/or present/participate in technical reviews, provide status for intermediate to complex projects and highlights technical risks.
- Prepare certification technical compliance reports.
- Apply and recommend improvements to Bombardier Aerospace standards and best practices

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You hold a Bachelor or a Masters in Electrical Engineering or Physics with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in aircraft EMI, HIRF, Lightning and Electrostatic Discharge.
- You have knowledge of aircraft design principles including familiarity with aircraft regulatory requirements.
- You have an understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures and requirements.
- You have experience in executing EMI, HIRF, Lightning and Electrostatic Discharge tests (including Dayton-Granger, Source/Victim tests)
- You are proficient with the use of PC including Microsoft Office software tools.
- You are an energetic person with excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a high-pressure partner/supplier team environment.
