Seeking an individual to fill a highly critical position leading the supply chain activities within UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) ECS (Engine & Controls Systems) and GEAI (Global Engines, Airframes & Industrials) business.

The highly motivated team player filling this position will be responsible for all of the supply chain activities supporting the ECS and the GEAI Businesses located in our Windsor Locks Facility. The individual will interface with senior leadership within the business to drive strategies to meet the challenging business needs. He or she will also actively interface with the other Business Units (SBU) along with the Strategic Commodities, the Commodity Execution teams and supporting Plant Sites to improve the overall performance (cost, quality and delivery) to meet the increasing customer expectations. This includes but is not limited to oversight of:

* Managing a team of direct reports responsible for the functional areas of delivery assurance, transactional procurement, quality improvement, new product introduction and cost and transition management
* Facilitating some strategic commodity activity and change management associated with SBU specific suppliers
* Prioritizing supplier performance activities within the larger UTAS SCM organization to stabilize ECS and GEAI supply chain performance to internal and external customers

This candidate must possess ability to manage major supplier alliances, drive optimization in the procurement process with the systems and tool, and support internal and external customer expectations.

The successful candidate will be one who:

* Can interface with both internal and external customers and has strong written and oral communication

Can network within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) and SBU structure irrespective of geography

Qualifications The candidate must have an understanding of the ACE operating system and process improvement tools (e.g. standard work, value stream management, passport process, quality clinic process charts, relentless root cause analysis, 5S) as well as an advanced understanding of the basics of supply chain management, including inventory management, manufacturing resources planning (MRP), demand planning, and capacity management. Experience managing multiple commodities. Candidate with SBU program office or contracts or Operations experiences preferred.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter possessing sound technical judgment in addition to having the ability to integrate, interpret and act on conflicting or incomplete information in pursuit of an objective. Strong, demonstrable, computer and quantitative skills are desired. Self-motivated, organized candidates with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills required.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or US person.
Education

BS/BA degree in business, finance, operations management, engineering or related field. MBA or other advanced degree is preferred

7 years of industry experience with a Master’s degree
10 years of industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree
