Operating independently from CAG and the airport business, E-Concierge will focus on developing and delivering an alternative cross-border e-commerce platform / service to customers. Working closely with the Head of Customer Acquisition and Marketing, you will be responsible for bringing in a curation of trendy design products that is desired by our target customers and promote them on the e-commerce platform to drive customer acquisition and conversion. You will also liaise with potential product suppliers to build partnerships with and secure commercial agreements. Responsibilities (including, but not restricted to)




Source and curate assortment of product categories and items to be promoted on the e-commerce platform, based on target customers’ shopping demands and latest product trends
Formulate and implement strategic direction for various product categories to appeal to target customers
Set category sales targets, analyse and report sales performance against goals
Identify sales trends and insights, and develop actionable plans and follow-up actions to optimise customer spend and achieve business objectives
Conduct regular market research and analysis (including surveys, focus group discussions with consumers, etc) to hone in-depth understanding of target customers and review range of products on the e-commerce platform to drive conversion, customer retention and increase transacted basket size
Identify potential product suppliers in local and regional markets to collaborate and build partnerships with, and spearhead negotiations to secure commercial agreements (trading terms, margins, advertising support, etc)
Manage relationships with product suppliers to ensure alignment of business goals
Work closely with internal marketing team and relevant external parties on developing marketing campaigns and online events to build brand awareness and drive sales of products
Liaise with internal backend team to upload product images
Identify and set up database of data sources (online and offline) to keep abreast of the latest product trends and consumer buying patterns to ensure relevance of curated product list




Requirements




At least 4 years of buying or product merchandising experience for retail/ B2C e-commerce sector
Proven track record in leading and managing end-to-end supplier activities, including negotiation on commercial terms and liaison for related marketing and sales activities
Degree or diploma in Business Administration or relevant disciplines
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking to distil customer insights from market research and data
Able to lwork with partners in Japan, working proficiency in the Japanese languagewill be useful
Keen interest in the latest consumer product trends
Independent and highly resourceful in getting things done in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
