Director, Supply Chain

The incumbent is responsible for the management and supervision of all Air Transat contracts related to the onboard passenger experience, catering, crew uniforms, printing service and in-flight entertainment. Additionally, the incumbent manages the procurement of all the airline commissary products.

The Director, Supply Chain will be responsible for bringing and promoting a positive team spirit and will be collaborating with different business units of Air Transat and Transat A.T. The incumbent will report to the Senior Director, Strategic Procurement and Cost Management.

Responsibilities

* Lead, participate and manage the team to establish procurement contracts based on the vision and requirements of the organization;

* Ensure that airline procurement policies are properly respected;

* Lead the preparation, planning and negotiation of procurement contracts related to:
- onboard services (wine, option plus, snacks, magazines, Buy-On Board programs, etc.);
- commissary (uniforms, on board equipment, etc.);
- printing services (brochures, airline magazines, COMAT, etc.);
- catering suppliers;

* Optimize and lead the commissary supply chain (order point, security inventory, consumption rate, turnaround time and commissary forecast) to minimize storage costs and losses;

* Manage the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system in SAP.

Requirements

* BAC in business administration;

* Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar position;

* Experience in managing a team, an asset;

* Training in procurement, an asset;

* Bilingual (French, English), both written and spoken;

* Ability to lead multiple projects at the same time;

* autonomous, organized, proactive;

* Very good knowledge of the MS Office Suite and SAP;

* Member of the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) of Canada, an asset.
