About The Job

Job Purpose

Lead the People (HR) Department analytics team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Serve as the go to person for all People Analytics requirements.

* Work with various business units and teams within People to understand their Analytics needs

* Bring industry leading Analytics to American Airlines

* Define standards and methodologies for data collection and reporting

* Evaluate and prototype new technologies in the Analytics space

* Support team members through mentoring, leadership, and technology guidance

* Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience/training

* Experience and comfort presenting to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

* Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) or equivalent work experience preferred

* Experienced and able to build collaborative relationships with and consensus amongst multiple stakeholders with varying points of view

* Extensive experience leading cross-functional, inter-departmental projects

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Strong managerial, analytical, creative and critical thinking skills

* Strong people, mentoring, and development skills

* Demonstrated ability to solve and to lead others in solving complex analytical problems

* Excellent negotiation skills

* Willingness to take calculated risks

* Ability to build and make presentations to senior management

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

* Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills
