Vacancy Announcement DATE: November 1, 2018 TO: All Qualified Applicants FROM: Human Resources RE: Director, Financial Reporting and Auditing LOCATION: Anchorage, Alaska CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled This announcement is for a Director of Financial Reporting and Auditing with Ravn Air Group. This position reports to the Vice President of Finance and Controller and requires a highly organized and motivated individual with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and be highly capable of providing operational and analytic support as an individual and as part of a team. This is an exempt, full time, benefit eligible position. Position is typically Monday through Friday, however overtime will be required as dictated by the needs of the organization. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting; Qualified Accountant, ideally a CPA, or CPA candidate, with national, regional or local CPA firm background); Management experience within a corporate accounting function or a financial reporting role; Airline industry experience is highly preferred; Strong technical accounting and analytical skills; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Great Plains; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to produce results in a time-sensitive, deadline focused financial reporting cycle; Requires a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS); Able to pass a comprehensive background check; Comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft. ------------ Duties & Responsibilities Maintain monthly, quarterly and annual reconciling, closing and reporting calendar; Identification and resolution of accounting and financial reporting issues; Plan, prepare for and manage all aspects of the annual independent audit process including managing the timely preparation of all necessary audit support schedules; Preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including management’s discussion and analysis of operations, regulatory and loan agreement compliance reports; Leads all financial research efforts; Analyzes, researches and concludes on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by FASB, and prepare memorandums regarding the Company’s position and impact on the Company; Writes, implements and ensures effective and practical implementation of corporate policies; Liaison with finance department and external auditors; Promote the Company safety culture; Special projects as assigned by the Vice President, Finance and Controller. Other duties as assigned and within the scope of this position.
