Position Description

Supports the Sector, Sales and Operations organizations with technical sales support, new products and strategies that grow revenue and EBITDA. Responsibilities outlined below will be in support of avionics/cabin connectivity/new growth platforms. (Location TBD)

Reporting to the VP of Global Sales & Marketing, the successful incumbent will:
• Identifies future platforms and develops/executes sales strategy, and drives implementation across the Business Aviation Sector for avionics programs.
• Manages new product introductions and dealer agreements.
• Develops cabin connectivity OEM partnership/relationships.
• Creates sales initiatives/tools; manages marketing strategies that lead to top line revenue growth.
• Leads margin and down time improvement initiatives across the Sector.
• Provides input for development of annual sales plan for Avionics Product line.
• Executes on goals and objectives for assigned Avionics Products that are consistent with corporate strategy and objectives. Responsible for meeting financial and unit volume objectives for the assigned Avionics projects.
• Maintains high visibility in industry through involvement with trade association events, customer events, and supplier sales events.
• Maintains direct staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Communicates job expectations to direct reports; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling employees; provides succession planning by developing personal growth opportunities.

Other Job Duties / Responsibilities include:
• Identifies new services/products for consideration, develops business case and capture strategy, gains approval, negotiates agreements and manages implementation process
• Utilizes “New Product Introduction” (NPI) methods to bring initiatives to market (project management)
• Manages and cultivates OEM, vendor and inter-company relationships to deliver results without direct authority
• Develops and executes on long range plan and strategy for growth for avionics and cabin connectivity.
• Forms and leads cross functional teams to attain objectives and strategic initiatives
• Acts as Owner/Liaison with our OEM partners
• Ensures new contracts are executed with compliance to Company approval process
• Leads/Develops new business with designated ‘strategic accounts’ with various functional teams
• Develops value proposition and training tools for sales & customers
• Identifies newsworthy events and prepares press release and other marketing material with Marketing & Communication group
• Develops productive relationships with the 3 Business Aviation MRO sites and assists them in solving common issues
• Analyzes business, communicates status and works with stakeholders to develop/implement corrective actions
• Provides internal support for technical document requests, supplier information, sales training, etc
• Works with internal Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) for Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) opportunities
• Travels to StandardAero Business Aviation Sites and vendor facilities on a regular basis
• Manages expenses within annual budgets
• Manages projects and strategic initiatives, complex transactions and other projects as assigned
• Travel up to 50%
• Location: preferably Scottsdale, AZ, or any other US major site within Business Aviation Sector (Augusta, GA; Houston, TX; Springfield, IL )
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business or Marketing or the equivalent in years of specific Business Aviation experience in Sales and strategy/program management required; Master’s Degree preferred

Licenses and Certifications:
• Airframe & Powerplant License, Pilot’s License or qualifying years of experience preferred
• Project Management training a plus; PMP Certification preferred

Experience:
• Required: 10+ years airframe/avionics sales and technical experience (installation, operations, systems integrations, understanding of Chapter 4/5 OEM airframe inspections, etc.) in business aviation environment
• Required: Background in project management and/or developing new business strategies with structured measures, reporting and follow up
• Management experience in leading technical sales team
• Preferred experience in cabin connectivity across multiple OEMs and providers
• Required: Experience in communicating sales/business plans and status/solutions at Leadership/Stakeholder level
• Possesses Network of business aviation relationships: OEMs, MROs, Suppliers, Operators
• Experience in effectively negotiating price and terms in complex transactions
• Experience in identifying and assessing new business opportunities

Other skills & experience:
• Exceptional planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, project management, oral and written communication skills
• Established track record in successfully devising and implementing product strategies
• Must be self-motivated, results-oriented with proven ability to work autonomously from concept to implementation
• Proven ability to effectively lead team and deliver results and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to foster teamwork, coach, lead, train and motivate others.
• Ability to serve, motivate, influence, follow and lead complex relationships with other departments across the organization such as Sales, Sites, Mobile Support Teams, Customer Service/Support, Finance and other functions
• Understand functional roles and effectively work with various levels throughout the organization (Product Management Team, Sites, Sales, Finance, Operations, Legal, Marketing & Communication, Sales Support, etc)
• Authorized to work in the US

Technical skills:
• Strong skills in MS Windows programs: Word, Excel and PowerPoint,
• Knowledge of Salesforce.com and editing Adobe documents a plus
