About the role:

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity to provide financial decision support and analysis to the Velocity Frequent Flyer business divisions including delivery of results, insights and advice.

The role requires the provision of financial support on strategic projects and commercial contracts and an understanding of processes and systems to support accurate and timely reporting and budgeting.

Other day to day accountabilities:

* Ability to engage, direct and influence senior business contacts and adapting communication styles to aid financial understanding within the business

* Establish and maintain and understanding of plans, needs, issues of each business unit to provide valued level of support and guidance

* Assist leaders to understand their roles and execute responsibilities as well as provide entity expertise to identify key financial drivers and forecasting of drivers.

* Explain of Year on Year movements through high level summarised business reports

* Compile and manage monthly reports to convey financial data and analysis

* Diagnose trends and engage GMs and Executives

* Analysing website traffic and data; identifying and understanding trends, issues and opportunities to develop copy/content solutions.

* Promotion of EPM methodology within the business

* Identify and achieve cost savings and revenue improvements

What you’ll need:

* Demonstrated experience in providing financial analysis and support in business projects or commercial negotiations (at least 5 years)

* Demonstrable systems abilities and a high level of computer literacy including advanced capability of excel

* CA/ CPA or equivalent qualifications

* Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly in dealing with senior managers

* Audit and or management accounting background

* Previous budgeting and month end experience
