About the Role
Under the general direction of the Aircraft Outsource Manager the Customer Maintenance Representative will project mange aircraft maintenance activity at vendors including but not limited to heavy maintenance, modification, painting and other technical activities. This role provides management and oversight of teams deployed to support the maintenance activity overseas and direct oversight of Services supplied by the Maintenance Provider(s) to ensure that the desired outcomes are achieved in relation to Time, Maintenance standards, and Cost. You will also liaise, negotiate and provide direction as necessary to the Maintenance Services Provider(s) on all matters, to ensure on time performance and availability of aircraft to the airline and will liaise and negotiate as necessary with OEM’s, regulatory authorities, vendors and customers on Technical matters. It is up to the Customer Maintenance Representative to ensure Maintenance Provider(s) comply with applicable Service Level Agreement(s) and that all post Check deferrals are actioned as required as well as providing provide Work scope production support and additional duties requested by the Aircraft Outsource Manager.
This position may be based at various overseas locations.
About You
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate the following essential qualifications and skills:
Mandatory:
- Project Management Experience
- Tertiary qualification or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers licence.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- 5 years relevant industry experience
- High level organisational skills, including proven business/commercial acumen.
- Proven understanding of financial and planning reporting and basic accounting principles
- Sound communication skills, both written and verbal
- Customer service focused
- Decisive and self starting attitude with energy and motivation to be effective in a very demanding environment
- A commitment to on-going maintenance of professional standards and the development of relevant capabilities
- Computer literate – MS Office Products
Preferred:
- Maintains a broad level of relevant Industrial knowledge in all facets of aircraft Life Cycle Management.
- Project Management Qualification PRINCE2 or equivalent.
- Knowledge of NZ Civil Aviation Authority and other applicable regulations.
- Through knowledge of aircraft maintenance and Engineering processes.
- 5-10 years aircraft Maintenance and or Engineering experience plus time in roles requiring business/commercial decisions.
- Knowledge of and working with Business/accounting principles.
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- Commitment to the value of teamwork and sharing of information and experience and an ability to contribute constructively to the overall change process the company is working through.
- Confidence in relationship building and possess the personality to influence others to provide information and to make things happen.
