Overview

As part of the HSSE team, this role will support the co-ordination of Occupational Health and Safety and compliance activities at Dublin and Cork airports in accordance with national legislative requirements.

Reporting into the Corporate Compliance Manager – OH&S, the primary responsibility of this role is to assist in auditing of the health and safety management system and documented processes at Dublin and Cork airports, provide management reporting in this regard and track the status of corrective actions. This role also provides support and advice to the Business Units at an operational level in the development and drafting of Health and Safety policies and procedures. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years experience post qualification looking to progress their career.

Qualifications

* Relevant third level qualification in Ocupational Health & Safety/Scientific discipline
* 1-2 years experience in a similar role
* Knowledge or experience of airport operations or multi-site operations is desirable
* Auditing experience in OH&S / Scientific discipline is desirable
* Methodical, analytical and focused approach to work procedures
* IT proficiency particularly Microsoft excel, Project Management tools and Microsoft office
* A proven ability to communicate both verbal and written
* Strong team player and effective stakeholder management skills
* Committed to daa values

Responsibilities

* Conducting health and safety compliance activities of the workplace across all business unit functions at Dublin and Cork airports, in line with the corporate compliance plan
* Drafting reports on audit findings and recommendations for management review and tracking the status of rectification actions
* Oversee and, where appropriate or required, support the implementation of health & safety action plans
* Analysis of incident data and the development of high quality compliance reports and performance metrics
* Reviewing , writing and assisting with risk assessments and other safety related documentation
* Participating and supporting safety leadership forums
* Review pending legislation and identify/communicate requirements for the business
* Developing enhanced systems and processes in the area of health and safety
