Job Role:
I seek a CORAL66 Software Engineer to undertake updates and maintenance of software for a legacy industrial process control systems (Argus 700 system).
AT THE COAL FACE / TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- To be responsible for delivery of agreed changes to executable software and database components.
- To produce high quality design specifications for the software under change.
- To produce high quality test plans.
- To produce high quality test specifications.
- To carry out integration and verification testing of software on the reference systems.
- To assist the customer in fault finding either at the facility or the customer site.
- To report on Engineering progress to the Long Term Support Technical Manager
- To take part in "On Call" duties at customer sites.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / PROVEN ABILITY
- CORAL66 development language and development environments.
- Support and understanding of updating and maintaining software systems.
- Ability to diagnose faults in software and in systems in conjunction with hardware engineers.
- Taking software through a full lifecycle from elicitation of customer requirement through to formal acceptance at customer sites, including integration and verification testing.
- Ability to produce comprehensive documentation for the design and test of software.
- Microsoft Office Tools
- Interaction between software and hardware.
