Job Role:

Task Responsibilities:

• Identify Ground-related and Customer-related Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Safety Performance Indicators (SPI);
• Establish and manage a system (e.g. dashboard including necessary artificial intelligence) to collect, measure, monitor and analyze these KPIs/SPIs;
• Establish and manage a review system to address significant trends;
• Review root causes of incidents and findings;
• Analyze trends;
• Identify substandard performance, including behavioral;
• Establish a system to ensure that lessons are learned from incidents and findings, and translate this learning into improved performance, supported by continuous assessment of outcome;
• Establish a program to continuously monitor ground performances, meaning ability to measure the improvement;
• Evaluate the effectiveness of procedures, processes, training programs, risk mitigation barriers
• Communicate Ground performance to the network;
• Support the Cargolux (CLX) Safety Management System (SMS) by:
• Ensuring the SMS becomes integrated into the day-to-day business decision-making
• Being familiar with the SMS for the identification of safety hazards
• Being familiar with the CLX Safety Statement and the Just Culture Policy
• Reporting any safety hazard posing a risk to the safe ops of a CLX flight by using the safety reporting system in place

Essential Requirements:

• General school leaving certificate of secondary education or equivalent (e.g. A-Level, BAC, Abitur)
• Logistics/air transportation studies will be considered an advantage
• Cargo handling, aircraft handling and/or EASA Air Ops certificate will be considered as an advantage
• Previous knowledge & experience in ground operations
• Solid background in air cargo ops, with knowledge on processes and key players
• Good understanding of IATA/ICAO/EU/EASA regulations
• Previous experience in KPI management, continuous improvement management, process mapping and/or ground risk analysis (including management of change) is an advantage
• Good analytical and organization skills
• Ability to maneuver comfortably through complex processes and to plan/ prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
• Taking on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm to drive change and innovation
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English, French and German, other languages are a distinct advantage
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Working Conditions:

• Occasional travel required within the entire Cargolux network
• Flexible with working hours
• A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
• Position based in Luxembourg
