Control Systems Engineer

Oaklands Global is currently recruiting a Control Systems Engineer on behalf of our market leading VTOL client based in Karlsruhe, Germany. This is a permanent position and we are looking for someone to start ASAP.

 

The Control Systems Engineer will be an expert in the development of control systems, ideally familiar with the development of flight control algorithms for drones. Embedded inside a multi-disciplinary team and reporting directly to our Head of Software Development, you develop the control logic for the client systems, and contribute to the team your expertise in control systems development.

Your responsibilities:

 

- Design, development, analysis and test of flight control systems logic

- Development of control systems in MATLAB und C

- Close cooperation with software engineers and with universities

- Test and verification on flying test beds

Key skills and Experience:

 

- Master/PhD Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar

- Relevant professional experience

- Track record of successfully completed software projects

- Excellent MATLAB and Simulink skills

- Experience with Model Predictive Control (MPC), Adaptive Control (e.g. MRAC), H∞-Control, robust control, System identification, etc.

- Ideally, experience with RTOS, software configuration management tools, continuous integration, test coverage

- Ideally, experienced in flying drones or other aircraft
