The Configuration and Data Manager role is required to undertake a lead position within the Engineering Team of Raytheon, Airborne ISR.
The role will support design and engineering activities in support of aircraft modification programmes within Raytheon Airborne ISR based at Broughton.
The position requires thorough knowledge and experience of design lifecycle management and processes in aircraft programmes and data configuration principals. Applicants should possess line management experience and be able to effectively run a small team.
The successful candidates will be part of the growing Airborne ISR Team which delivers aviation engineering expertise across a wide range of projects to both military and civil customers worldwide.

Role Summary
Review, update and where required, create and establish new processes for configuration identification, control, change management, status accounting and auditing for development and operational systems.
Review current processes with a view to improving efficiency whilst showing compliance with company, contractual and regulatory requirements.
Establish tailored configuration control on development programmes and bids.
Review and advise of toolsets and steps required to enable successful transformation from current manual processes to PLM-type toolset environment introducing product efficiencies and cost effective measures.
Coordinate and oversee the activities of the Configuration and Data Management team to ensure work is carried out on schedule.
Review workload requirements for the execution of Configuration and Data Management on current and future programmes and ensure that adequate resource is in place to meet demands.
Administer internal configuration control forums, including the production of agendas, facilitation of meetings, and documenting results.
Perform document control and data management including the coordination, production and delivery of all data items generated on the programs, including auditing for compliance with customer, security, and program standards.

Candidate Requirements:
Essential
A working knowledge of CMMI and ISO 9000 requirements
Able to influence, interface and communicate with multiple levels of management and colleagues in other engineering disciplines.
A demonstrable track record of setting up new programmes and ventures.
This should include tailored process creation and introduction using current CM methodology, establishing guidelines and rules for all functions/levels and the introduction of suitable toolsets to enable successful configuration management.
Demonstrable line management experience.
Experience establishing, developing and implementing Configuration Management processes and training, such as configuration control, identification, data library/repository, product release, product delivery and configuration audits.

Desirable
CMII Certification
Detailed working knowledge of Def Stan 05-57 and 05-123
Proficient in the evaluation of programme documents for impact to CM processes
Experience of the Aircraft Design and Manufacturing industries
Experienced with CM/PLM/ERP toolsets e.g. Windchill, Enovia, SAP.
Experienced with Microsoft office tools advanced features: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access or other database experience requiring schema definition and data manipulation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the generation and presentation of briefing packages to programme management and customers.
Eligible for SC level security clearance (Raytheon will sponsor as required).
