The Configuration and Data Engineer roles are required to undertake a number of positions at varying levels within the Design Team of Raytheon, Airborne ISR .
To support design and engineering activities in support of aircraft modification programmes within Raytheon Systems Limited, Airborne ISR based at RSL Broughton.
These positions require knowledge and experience of design lifecycle management and processes in aircraft programmes and data configuration principals.
The successful candidates will be part of the expanding Airborne ISR Team which delivers aviation engineering expertise across a wide range of projects to both military and civil customers worldwide.

Role Summary
Apply and administer CM processes on programme as directed by the Engineering Manager and Configuration Manager. This includes the configuration identification, control, change management, status accounting and auditing for development and operational systems.
Assist with the review of current processes with a view to improving efficiency whilst showing compliance with company, contractual and regulatory requirements. Aid the establishment of configuration control on development programmes and bids.
Assist with the introduction and development of toolsets required to enable successful transformation from current manual processes to PLM-type toolset environment introducing product efficiencies and cost-effectivity.
Administer internal configuration control forums, including the production of agendas, facilitation of meetings, and documenting results.
Perform document control and data management including the coordination, production and delivery of all data items generated on the programmes, including auditing for compliance with customer, security, and programme standards.

Candidate Requirements:
Essential
A demonstrable track record of executing and administering CM tasks and activities within a fast-moving design and manufacturing environment.
Experience establishing, developing and implementing Configuration Management processes and training, such as configuration control, identification, data library/repository, product release, product delivery and configuration audits.
Knowledge of CM/PLM/ERP toolsets e.g. Windchill, Enovia, SAP. Experienced with Microsoft office tools advanced features: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access or other database experience requiring schema definition and data manipulation.
A working knowledge of CMMI and ISO 9000 requirements, able to effectively interface and communicate with multiple levels of management and colleagues in other engineering disciplines.

Desirable
CMII Certification
Detailed working knowledge of Def Stan 05-57 and 05-123
Proficient in evaluation of programme documents for impact to CM processes
Experience of Aircraft Design and Manufacture industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the generation and presentation of briefing packages to programme management and customers.

Eligible for SC level security clearance (Raytheon will sponsor as required).
