Communications Leader

Driving Infinite Possibilities Within A Diversified, Global Organization

The Communications Leader supports the Commercial Excellence and Strategy (CE&S) organization as well as provides support for the Aerospace Strategic Business Units. Accountable for being the one point of contact to plan, develop, facilitate, deploy and manage execution of all global communications in support of these organizations to help deliver results against business objectives. The position reports to the Senior Director, Aerospace Communications.

Job scope:

* Identify, develop and implement holistic communications through integrated communications strategies, content development and use of multiple communications channels.
* Extensive written communications including presentations, executive messages, speeches, scripts, etc.
* Partner with CE&S and business leadership and subject matter experts to develop and deliver specific and targeted messaging around key business objectives, targets and goals to reach employees who most significantly impact success. Feature content in Aero-wide communications channels
* Develop and deploy extensive strategic, executive, manager, organizational and change/issues management communications.
* Develop content for written, video, online, presentation forums and social collaboration channels.
* Coordinate and facilitate events, budget management and vendor relationships and project teams as appropriate.

YOU MUST HAVE

* Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism/Marketing

WE VALUE

* Some communications/journalism/marketing experience preferred
* Communications/journalism experience in a large complex organization strongly preferred.
* Ability to present technical and often complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
* Excellent writing and editorial skills as well as the ability to make clear, convincing presentations to senior management.
* Strong project management and ability to execute.
* Ability to communicate using a variety of media and channels through an innovative mix of traditional and non-traditional communications to engage employees in company programs/initiatives and understanding and use of a variety of marcom and PR approaches/tactics to engage external stakeholders.
* Self-starter with ability to thrive in a matrix organizational structure where priorities can shift quickly.
* Ability to lead across borders and cross-functional teams and achieve consistent, measurable results.
* Relationship building skills that enable the individual to influence thinking and outcomes through professional credibility.
