Commercial Assistant - Oxford - £26,000-£29,000 + benefits - Permanent Position

Shorterm Group are currently recruiting for an Commercial Assistant for our Aerospace client. The role involves day to day liaison with customers and working with the Base Maintenance Manager and deputy Manager.
You will be responsible for Generating contract change orders and monitoring hours and cost. Contacting administrators of various aircraft/engine and APU Support programmes. You will also arrange work orders to cover costs against these programmes and Invoice review and make adjustments for services provided. The Commercial Assistant will liase with the purchasing department to ensure accurate invoices are generated.

Responsibilities:

*Follow commercial processes and procedures and liaise with the Base Maintenance Manager and / or the Deputy Base Maintenance Manager
*Receive all customer requests for work
*Generate Estimates with the Purchasing Department to ensure costs for shipping and services are agreed.
*Internal approval of estimates prior to transmission and liaison with the customer to secure agreement.
*Pass invoices to the Commercial Finance Department to generate final invoice.
*Generate Contract Change Orders as required for each Work Order. Liaise with customers to secure agreement, preventing disruption to works in progress.
*Generate menu pricing for aircraft tasks and for Customers with bespoke terms of business.
*Upkeep reports and registers of progress
*Maintain commercial records including emails and computerised files.
*Liaise with Base Maintenance Manager and/ deputy at regular planning meetings for the organisation of all future work and scheduling.
*Monitor processes and make recommendations to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial process.
*Action any warranty coverage and aircraft programme coverage, both prior to and during maintenance inputs.
*Assist with the production of Maintenance Agreements for third party maintenance

Suitable candidates will have excellent communication and organisational Skills
Experience in generating estimates and have an understanding of invoicing processes within an aviation environment.
Ability to use MSword/Excel

Hours: Working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 08.00am and 5.00pm.
