Gama Aviation are looking for an experienced Helicopter Captain with management experience to join us as the Chief Pilot for our European Rotary Operation. The role will initially be working closely with the senior members of the business to build our operational capability and bring our fleet of brand new H145 aircraft into service during 2019 and 2020 in support of an existing contract, and then transition into an operational flying and management role maintaining oversight of all our existing and future rotary-wing contracts within the EU region. / The Role:

  • Chief Pilot / Training Captain and active line pilot on current and future contracts.
  • Management of rotary line pilots.
  • Overseeing Company policy regarding rotary operating standards in conjunction with the Director of Flight Operations.
  • Liaising with Head of Training and training personnel with regard the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and operational standards on rotary fleet.
  • Management of, on behalf of the Director of Flight Operations, regular reviews of the Company Operations Manual suite.
  • Management of company landing site directory and oversight of ongoing/new landing site surveys.
  • Participate in Safety, FDM and Flight Operations meetings as required.
  • Conduct internal audits as required by the Flight Operations Audit schedule.

/ The Person:

  • CPH (H)/ATPL (H) with 1,500 hours twin turbine time and 500 hours Pilot in Command.
  • Instrument Rated.
  • HEMS experience, aided-NVIS and Night-HEMS experience essential.
  • Previous operational management experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • H145 rating desirable but not essential.
  • TRI/TRE desirable but not essential.
  • Acceptable as a Subject Matter Expert to the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
