This announcement is for a Chief Pilot with Ravn Air Group. This position reports to the Vice
President of Flight Operations and is responsible for ensuring top performance of Ravn
Alaska’s (Corvus Airlines) Part 121 pilot group. The successful candidate must have a valid
ATP Certificate, strong leadership experience, and will meet all qualifications as listed within
14 CFR 119.67(b).

This is an exempt, full time, benefits-eligible position. Position requires a standard work week
in Anchorage, with overtime and variation in schedule as business needs dictate.
Minimum Qualifications
 Must meet all qualifications for the position as listed within 14 CFR 119.67(b), or as otherwise accepted

by the FAA administrator;  High School Diploma/GED required, college degree is highly preferred;  Requires a valid ATP Certificate;  Demonstrated experience in, and oversight of the following: Instruction/Training, Check Airmen, Lead

Pilots and other related staff;  Prefer previous work experience in an environment with variable conditions related to extreme cold

weather climates;  Current in at least one Company aircraft preferred;  Must be able to work a flexible work schedule with overtime required when the operation dictates;  Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is

required, with knowledge of FlightMaster preferred;  Exceptional communication skills are required;  Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, while maintaining focus around multiple

employees and distractions;  Must have a professional appearance and demeanor;  Requires attention to detail and accuracy at all times;  Able to pass a background check;

 Comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with

operating aircraft.

Duties & Responsibilities
 Promotes and encourages safety in all areas and ensures instructions pertinent to safety are observed;  Ensures all pilots are properly and adequately trained in accordance with the FAA-approved training

program and Company policies;  Determines qualifications and ultimate assignment of any pilot to the positions of Check Airman or pilot

in command (PIC);  Ensures continuous development and qualification of flight personnel;  Ensures concise and accurate communications between management and pilots, in order to maximize

safety and increase overall Company efficiency;  Ensures implementation of policies established by the Vice President of Flight Operations or his/her

superiors;  Primary liaison between the Company and designated FAA Principal Operations Inspector (POI)

regarding aircraft operations and pilot training, checking, and performance issues;  Responsible for creation and retention of all CFR-required records, documents, and qualification for all

flight crewmembers;  Fulfills duties and responsibilities for Vice President of Flight Operations during his/her temporary

absences;  Determines qualifications and supervises the hiring of new personnel within the flight operations

department;  Responsible for publication and distribution of all flight-related documents, manuals, etc. as related to

the normal, abnormal, and emergency operation of Company aircraft;  Other duties as assigned and within the scope of this position.
