General Summary: To assist the Director of Operations in day-to-day activities and to be a liaison to the F.A.A. To fly charter trips under F.A.A. Part 135 and provide pilot service as required under FAR Part 91.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Directs all training activities of flight crewmembers. Insure that all company pilots especially those trained exclusively at outsource facilities complete the checks required by 135.293(a) (1-8) and 135.299.

2. Conducts the approved company Ground and Flight Training Programs for flight crew members, check airmen, instructors, and other operations personnel.

3. Assures that aircraft, equipment, and facilities are available for training. Assures training and testing of flight personnel is conducted in accordance with approved programs.

4. Coordinates operations policies, and training matters with appropriate activities.

5. Advises the appropriate personnel of the status of flight operations and the training of the flight crewmembers and is responsible for crewmember standardization.

6. Prepares and maintains proficiency records, flight schedules, reports and correspondence pertaining to operations activities.

7. Insures an adequate and current flight kit for each aircraft.

8. Maintains current aircraft checklist.

9. Disseminates information to all crewmembers as pertains to routes, airports, NOTAMS, navaids and company policies.

10. Submits to FAA all reports required, pertaining to flight crews.

11. Oversees scheduling of aircraft to the available flight crewmembers and established personnel duty hours.

12. Assist with the oversight of the Assistant Chief Pilots and Company Instructors.

13. Assistant Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AOSC) responsibilities fro TSA.

14. Assume the duties of the Director of Operations as needed.

15. Make customers feel appreciated by giving exemplary customer service.

16. Fly Charter and Pilot service trips.

17. Be at aircraft a minimum of one hour before scheduled departure time.

18. Help to promote our company and charter when appropriate while crewing a trip.

19. Communicate properly pertinent information to the appropriate person(s), i.e., problem, weather, cancellation, abnormalities, etc.

20. Make sure aircraft is clean and passenger ready prior to each flight.

21. Maintain navigation charts and books.

22. Conduct pilot meetings.

PIC Job duties

1. Operate aircraft with safety as number one priority.

2. Make passengers feel safe and comfortable by giving exemplary service

3. Be at aircraft a minimum of one hour before schedule departure times

4. Communicate pertinent information to the appropriate persons regarding weather, abnormalities, flight delays, etc.

5. Make sure aircraft is clean and passenger-ready prior to each flight

6. Clean aircraft after each flight

7. Maintain navigation charts and books

8. Attend pilot meetings

Job Specific Requirements

Licenses:

* Hold a current Airline Transport Pilot certificate with appropriate ratings and be qualified to serve as Pilot typed in Citation Excel.

Physical:

* Regularly required to sit, talk and hear, reach with hands or arms and lift objects up to 10 pounds.

* Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and grasp or pull and lift objects up to 25 pounds.

* Will have frequent exposure to high or precarious places, regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions places and occasional exposure to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noises.

Other:

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public.

Education and Experience:

* Citation Excel Type Rating (Preferred)

* Hold a current Airline Transport Pilot certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.

* Hold a First Class Medical Certificate

* A minimum of 3,500 hours total flight time.

* A minimum of 2,000 hours total PIC

* A minimum of 1500 hours twin time

* A minimum of 500 hours jet time

* A minimum of 300 hours night time

* A minimum of 300 hours instrument time

* A minimum of 100 hours in type

* Must be familiar with all F.A.R. 91 regulations and F.A.R. 135 regulations.

* Ability to effectively communicate with other Pilots, Flight Services Manager, Director of Maintenance, and customers in a patient, courteous and helpful manner

* First Class Medical Certificate

* Familiarity with all FAR 91 and FAR 135 regulations

* Exceptional customer service and communication skills

* Maintain current medical certificate

* Have 1500 hours of total time with 250 hours of multi-engine time

* Highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, flight manual, etc.

* F.A.A. six and twelve month check rides

* Attend courses/seminars related to position to upgrade knowledge
