The Australian Airline Pilot Academy (AAPA) is seeking applicants for the role of Chief Pilot/Chief Flying Instructor (Head of Operations) at our expanding airline pilot training academy in Wagga Wagga NSW.

AAPA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Regional Express Holdings Ltd (Rex), Australia’s largest independent regional airline based at Wagga Wagga. AAPA provides the highest quality flight training to airline standards, including the successful delivery of the Rex Pilot Cadet Programme since 2007 and training a growing number of cadets destined for Vietnam Airlines, utilising Piper Warrior III and Seminole aircraft fitted with EFIS cockpits and advanced GPS equipment.

Essential Selection Criteria
•Capable of holding CASA Chief Pilot/Chief Flying Instructor (Head of Operations) approval for a Private, Commercial, and Instrument School for single and multi-engine aeroplanes

Preferred Selection Criteria
•Capable of holding CASA Chief Pilot/Chief Flying Instructor (Head of Operations) approval for a Flight Instructor School
•Authorised Testing Officer/Flight Examiner
•Previously held positions of Chief Pilot and /or Chief Flying Instructor
•Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
