OFFICE OF AIRWORTHINESS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaison between the design organisation and the Agency with respect to all aspects of certification changes on fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft
- Co-operation with the Agency in developing procedures to be used for the type certification process
- Co-operation in issuing guidelines for the preparation of the manuals required by the applicable implementing rules, Service Bulletins, drawings, specifications and standards
- Type Investigation in concurrence with the Agency
- Regular reporting to the Agency about Type Investigation progress and announcement of scheduled tests in due time
- Ensuring co-operation in preparing test programs needed for demonstration of compliance
- Checking that all compliance documents are prepared as needed for certification
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- University degree, University of Applied Sciences degree of Aeronautics or similar in aircraft construction
- Basic knowledge in working with 3d CAD programs (Solid Edge and/or CATIA V5)
- Min of 2 years of professional experience with proven track record in certification of TC’s and STC’s
- Experience in working with EASA is necessary, experience working with the FAA would be beneficial
- Familiarity with the authorities’ structures and strong skills in negotiating and executing certification paths
- Good skills in project management and team coordination
- Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills required
- Fluent English language skills are essential as well as fluent German. Any other language would be beneficial
