Shorterm Group are currently recruiting for an Aviation client based in Glasgow who are currently recruiting for an Experienced Chief Engineer /B1 licensed Engineer with Beechcraft KA200 and/or KA300 series type ratings.

Suitable candidates must have the following:

*B1 licensed engineer with type rating on the Beechcraft KA200 and/or KA300 series.
*The ability to motivate others in reaching high levels of service and quality.
*Have a good working knowledge of expositions/manuals relevant to the completion of maintenance and commercial control.
*Working knowledge of EASA part 145 and its application in the workplace.

The Role:

*Be responsible for the shop floor supervision of work in progress,.
*Active member of the engineering team in the completion of aircraft maintenance carrying out licensed/unlicensed engineer revenue activity.
*Shop floor staff first point of contact for enquiries relating to work in progress
*Actively uphold the company regulatory/safety & commercial practices in the completion of all work.
*Actively participant in the planning of future work and staff utilization,
*Support the Base Maintenance Manager in maintaining a schedule for delivery of work.
*Deputise for the Base Maintenance Manager in their absence.
*Make regular contact with the Base maintenance Manager to update on progress and issues such that the Base maintenance Manager is fully aware of the status of work in progress.
*Review timekeeping, absences and receipt of holiday requests
*Promote, educate and intervene where necessary in the application of company regulatory, commercial and safety processes and procedures for the completion of current work.
*Promote reduction of audit findings
*Be familiar with the responsibilities and role of Base Maintenance Manager enabling cover for the role when required during Base Maintenance Manager absences.
*Monitor the performance of engineers and consult with the Base Maintenance manager .
*Monitor engineering staff timekeeping.
*Maintain discipline within their area of responsibility and in liaison with the Base Maintenance Manager make recommendations for increase / decrease of resources as require
