Job Role:

FPS Aviation are currently recruiting a Chief Commercial Officer for a large globally renowned client who are experiencing a fantastic period of growth.

Chief Commercial OfficerPurpose of the job

The Chief Commercial Officer is to provide financial and commercial support to the Head of Defence Business and other members of the Defence Department. This vacancy is more weighted to the financial aspects of the role

Minimum requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Baseline personnel security clearance is required for this position.

  • Able to gain MoD security clearance

  • Experience working within aviation programmes

  • Experience of design and management of project control functions within complex, large-scale programmes

  • Experience of risk and opportunity management

  • Experience of major tender proposals

  • Experience of offer processes and management

  • Previous experience at a senior level within a commercial organisation

  • Knowledge of MoD DE&S procurement cycle and procedures

  • Knowledge of MoD DEFCONS and MoD contracting procedures and policies for procurement

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to solve complex problems

  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written

  • Must have high computer literacy ability in MS Office (Word, Access, Visio but especially Xcel)

  • Working knowledge of UK contract law and procurement practices

  • Knowledge of DRA SSCRs

  • Professional Accounting qualification CIMA, ACCA or equivalent

  • Be able to travel between Germany, France and UK locations between Bristol, Oxford, RAF Shawbury, and RAF Valley
