Certification Engineer - Portsmouth

Due to continued growth and innovation our client are looking for a high calibre Certification Engineer to join the organisation on a permanent basis, based in their high profile offices on the South Coast, Portsmouth

The role
- Reporting directly into the Chief of the Office of Airworthiness the Certification Engineer will be perform certification tasks to secure EASA airworthiness approval for company parts and sustain the companies EASA Part 21 Subpart J Design Organisation Approval (DOA).
- Generate certification packages and manage their delivery to regulatory authorities to achieve product certifications.
- Create and check company DOA certification documents and data.
- Report on performance and progress of certification tasks.
- Support the maintenance of the companies Design Organisation Handbook procedures with respect to regulatory changes and audits.
- Prepare for EASA DOA Surveillance and Internal ISM Audits and complete resulting actions as necessary.
- Generate Statement of Work packages for outsourced tasks for the support of certification activities.

You
This position would suit individuals who can demonstrate some knowledge around the EASA Part-21 or MAA requirements, the successful individual will have a solid knowledge of the certification process within Aerospace, ideally within design and repair processes for large aircraft or Rotary craft.

Qualifications/Skills
Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Bachelors Degree (BEng/BSc).
- Fully literate in Office software and documentation control systems
- A certification in Aerospace Quality or Certification is desired though not essential
