Position Description 

•Responsible for ensuring that the policies, procedures and, limitations contained in the ODA Procedures Manual are followed by FAA/ODA designees.
•Assist the Director of Certification with the development and execution of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes to ensure that these are aligned with company goals and applicable FAA regulations, policies and orders.
•Responsible for ensuring that all personnel recommended for FAA appointment as ODA designees are qualified to perform the duties within their authorization in accordance with the ODA Procedures Manual and applicable FAA Orders. 
•Ensures that ODA STC project plans incorporate appropriate and adequate Certification Plans, Conformity Plans and Compliance Checklist as part of the STC application process, and assigns specific milestones and accountabilities to team members.
•Responsible for monitoring each project for overall compliance with ODA procedures, applicable airworthiness requirements, and Project Certification Plan.
•Responsible for final review of all data and regulatory compliance prior to signing the Supplemental Type Certificates (STC).
•Establish and maintain a reporting process to communicate the status of certification projects to the Director of Certification.
•Pursue opportunities to reduce certification cost, reduce cycle time and eliminate redundant certification efforts.
•Foster strong relationships and accountabilities within the company, DER/ODA Unit Members, and FAA OMT Lead.
•Assertiveness, high energy, demonstrated integrity and self-motivated individual with exceptional leadership skills.
•Effective communication skills to facilitate team work and effect customer satisfaction with internal and external customers.
•Plan and execute technical activities in accordance with StandardAero’s ODA manual and customer requirements.
•Serve as project manager for ODA programs acting as single point of contact for the customer. 
•Interface and communicate with StandardAero ODA members, the FAA, vendors and customers as necessary.
•Develop, edit and contribute to supporting documents relating to certification activities. 
•Attend project meetings and assume responsibility for assigned action items.
•Develop and execute certification plans to support modification projects.
•Develop and maintain the MDL for STC projects.
•Manage project certification compliance.
•Conduct and coordinate design and program review meetings.
•Mentor on certification requirements, processes and procedures.

•25% travelrequired.
•Perform other job duties as assigned.

Position Requirements 

•Four year Engineering Degree.
•10-15 years of experience working in a certification role with leadership experience.
•Extensive experience working with 14 CFR Parts 21, 23, 25, 27 and 29.
•Must have existing FAA delegation.  i.e. DER/DAR
•Be able to work either alone or as a team to solve problems.
•Must be able to promote a team environment.
•Must be able to work additional hours including weekends as required.
•Demonstrated problem-solving skills
•Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
•Strong organization and planning skills.  Must be able to look ahead, anticipate problems and proactively address issues.  Must be able to handle multiple projects and multiple deadlines.
•Travel 25%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Work in a sitting position for long periods of time at a computer terminal.
